About the Lotus Family
Surinder Sroa and his son Jyoti Sroa are the restaurateurs behind the Lotus Family of Restaurants. Lotus is a green business, with a zero-waste goal and an energy-efficient building. The Lotus reputation for care is sustainable, too. The service is fast, friendly and warm. Lotus has also established their impeccable reputation by choosing the finest organic, local sources for ingredients, like free-range poultry, wild-caught seafood, and organic, non-GMO grains and vegetables. There are many vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options available. Even the rice gets full attention, with organic brown rice that’s so light and fluffy, many customers prefer it. The only thing that isn’t local is the authentic spices, flown in from Punjab in Northern India. The Lotus Family includes Café Lotus in Fairfax and Lotus Curry House in Novato.
The new location features the Lotus Market, an organic Indian Grocery Store. Lotus Market is the latest venture for the Lotus Family, the largest Indian grocery store in the North Bay. Lotus Market will be open from 11:30 AM to 8:30 PM daily, 7 days a week with free parking available at the 5th St. Entrance. Shoppers will find the finest grocery products and other natural products from India such as:
- Organic groceries
- Gluten-free grocery products
- ancient remedies
- home products
- lots of other goodies
The Lotus family of Marin County previously operated a grocery store and restaurant in the West End of San Rafael called Lotus Chaat and Spices. They are also collaborators at the Indian Spices and Groceries store in the Mission in San Francisco.
